This is a FREE to attend, factual, case study driven event from Scottish businesses currently operating in China. These straight to the point presentations will cover the realities of selling and marketing into China.

Introducing the event will be James Brodie, Regional Director for Scotland & Northern Ireland for the China-Britain Business Council.


David Moore, JW Filshill International
After 12 years throughout Asia Pacific with global premium alcoholic beverages leader Diageo plc, David returned to Scotland from Shanghai in 2013 and has invested in a number of ventures in tech and premium drinks. With business partners at leading Scottish wholesaler JW Filshill Group, he established the ‘Craft Beer Clan’ export portal and leading national online retailer flavourly.com. He will present on a new disruptive export tech platform ‘Nexportl’ to drive Scottish food and drink exports, with China as a key market.

Kelvin Chan & Adam Foster, East West Chinese Marketing Agency
Set up as Scotland’s first dedicated Chinese Marketing agency in 2015, Kelvin Chan & Adam Foster from East West will be presenting a route one strategy for entering the Chinese market and will present 3 different sector client case studies to demonstrate with real world numbers what success looks like for western businesses entering this vast marketplace.

Iain Valentine, Whitespace Creative Agency
Iain is Managing Partner of Whitespace, a creative digital agency, providing innovative digital experiences that help you win, keep and grow your most valuable customers. The talk will touch on innovation and digital customer experience referencing various client work targeting an international and Chinese audience.

In Summary
This is a 90-minute event featuring speakers who are active in the Chinese market and will provide insights, advice and some do’s & don’ts for doing business in China going into 2020.

Arrival from 5pm, presentations start at 5.30pm and all three will be concluded in an hour with a Q&A after for those wanting to know more.
