ETAG, in partnership with Scottish Development International and Scottish Enterprise, invite you to a 2 day introductory workshop designed specifically for tourism businesses in Edinburgh. The FREE two day workshop is aimed at businesses who are at the very early stages of taking a proactive approach to developing or growing their international tourism markets. The workshops cover the key areas you need to consider when developing your international tourism markets, including market analysis, routes to markets including working effectively with the travel trade, international marketing and social media. You will also develop your own international action plan.
Thursday 15th January 2015:
- Market Analysis – planning for international tourism markets; understanding our international visitors, effective market research
- Routes to Market – choosing your route to market; the role of collaboration; exhibitions; working with the travel trade
Thursday 22nd January 2015:
- International Inbound Marketing – the importance of inbound marketing; using social media effectively to reach your international visitors
- Overview of Support available – including Tourism Intelligence Scotland, Scottish Development International and UKTI, VisitScotland and VisitBritain.

Our Introduction to Developing Your International Tourism Markets is free to Scottish companies and is fully funded through Scottish Enterprise but is a form of state aid, on attendance it will count towards your overall De Minimis allowance.
ETAG events are aimed at tourism businesses within Edinburgh who operate on a B2C (Business to Consumer) basis – unfortunately we can’t offer place to intermediaries, consultants or suppliers of services. This event will be in high demand & places are limited to one attendee per company.
