Digital Tourism Scotland and ETAG

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).

As business owners we have until May 2018 to become compliant.

During this session, we will provide you with a practical to do guide to ensure your data management is compliant with GDPR.

Guest speaker: Laura Forrest, Macdonald Henderson

A key member of the Macdonald Henderson corporate team, Laura Forrest has experience in advising clients from small owner managed businesses to larger companies on a wide range of corporate legal matters.

Laura regularly advises clients on commercial matters including sales and purchases, share buybacks, directors’ duties and general company queries. In addition, Laura has particular expertise in handling the employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions, and advises in relation to TUPE and the employment law implications of business acquisitions and disposals.

Laura has particular expertise in advising on matters relating to GDPR and commercial contracts, and is the firm’s knowledge leader in this regard.

Laura is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and in addition tutors post-graduate students at the University of Strathclyde.
