
ETAG Social Media Practical: Google+ and Google Apps for Tourism

Why should your tourism business have a Google+ profile? What benefits are other tourism businesses getting from Google+? This and useful Google Apps and Products will be discussed, in particular, their relevancy to tourism.
This session will explain the benefits and lead you through:
- The practical set up of a personal profile and a business page
- Review your Google My Business Listing
- General usage, e.g. posting, +1, following
- Managing circles and groups
- Benefits of a hangout
- How to benefit from events and ripples
- How to benefit from Collections
- Use Google Hangouts for Marketing and Customer Service
During this 3-hour session you will work with your own laptop or tablet. Guided by a Tutor in a small class size, time is provided for individual questions and online guidance. There should also be time for 1:1 assistance with any Google+ problems you are having.
You will leave this workshop with a new or improved Google+ Profile and Business Page with the ability to post copy, video, links and find content.
