Edinburgh is the original UNESCO City of Literature – but do you know why? 

Well, the chances are your visitors do… by that we mean that very often our visitors have experienced the City before they even arrive through our world famous authors, past and present.  Their books, stories, poems, and popular TV and film adaptations give people a rich insight into the city which they hope to experience once they’re here.

But have you thought about how you could help your visitors follow in the footsteps of the likes of JK Rowling, or Rebus?  Do you tell them about the literary guides, maps, tours, literary events and festivals on offer?
