ETAG’s activities are primarily supported by Scottish Enterprise, Scotland’s national economic development agency and a non-departmental public body of the Scottish Government. Scottish Enterprise provide both project funding and staff resources to deliver ETAG activity aligned with the Scottish Government’s priority areas in:
- Securing more inward investment and capital investment for Scotland;
- Supporting more companies and sectors to innovate through increased research and development, new products, services, markets and business models;
- Supporting more companies and sectors to internationalise and compete in growing markets around the world.
- Ensuring that all parts of Scotland both understand and access more opportunities to generate, and to benefit from, inclusive growth.
In addition to supporting ETAG’s direct destination development goals and the delivery of the Edinburgh 2030 Tourism Strategy, Scottish Enterprise’s work across the key sectors of the Scottish economy creates a unique platform for tourism to learn from, and link with, other industries such as food & drink, textiles and technology.
It also offers a wide range of further support to help you and your tourism business make the most of Scotland’s tourism opportunities via more direct one to one business support mechanisms including direct business grants.
