EDINBURGH VISITOR LEVY INFORMATION PACK

The Edinburgh Visitor Levy comes into effect on Friday 24 July 2026.

Visitors may have questions about the levy, how it works and how the funds raised by the scheme will be invested in the city.

The City of Edinburgh Council has developed an information pack for accommodation providers to communicate the introduction of the Visitor Levy to Edinburgh to their staff and guests.

The information pack is now available to download via: Visitor Levy – Information Pack for Businesses – The City of Edinburgh Council or the Information for Businesses page on the Visitor Levy section of our site.

The pack includes a ‘read me’ document explaining what the materials are, how to use them, and how to contact the Council with any questions. The materials in the pack ready to download in a variety of digital, professional print and self-print formats.

There are also a limited number of professionally printed versions of these materials for those who need them. Businesses who would like to arrange to receive some of these should contact visitorlevy@edinburgh.gov.uk.

While the information is primarily for accommodation providers, others may find the Quick Guide to the levy available below useful to share with staff.
