ETAG’s Chinese Social Media Campaign 2026 | Get Involved!

Last year saw a remarkable 46% increase in Chinese visitor numbers to the UK, and the outlook for 2026 is even stronger as Chinese travellers continue to choose long-haul destinations that offer high-quality cultural experiences, heritage attractions and premium retail offerings.

Edinburgh is extremely well placed to take advantage of this growth, with daily direct flights between Beijing and Edinburgh starting on 2 July 2026. Combined with the new online visa application process and the UK Government’s plans to remove visa requirements entirely (for visits up to 30 days) it is even easier, and more affordable, forChinese travellers to visit Edinburgh.

Now is the perfect time to proactively engage with Chinese visitors through the ETAG Chinese Social Media Campaign 2026/27.
