2017 marks the 70th Anniversary of the Edinburgh Festivals. To help celebrate this landmark year and continue to build on Edinburgh’s firmly established position as the world’s leading Festival City, the Festivals and ETAG, with funding support from Scottish Enterprise, have come together to launch a brand new 70th Anniversary legacy fund.
The aim is to support Edinburgh’s Festivals and tourism businesses to work collaboratively to create new, exciting and innovative projects that will deliver memorable visitor experiences beyond the 70th Anniversary year, and to support the aims of the Edinburgh 2020 Tourism Strategy. It will focus on projects which strengthen Edinburgh’s appeal as a visitor destination, improve the quality of the visitor experience, broaden the city’s visitor offer and increase Edinburgh’s competitive advantage.
