Over recent workshops and Technology Tuesday sessions we have discussed SEO and keywords a lot! We have looked at Mobile SEO and discovered why Online Travel Agencies often dominate the search space.
There are so many keywords and phrases we could use to promote our businesses with, hotels in edinburgh, luxury wedding venues, restaurants, fine dining, private dining, romantic breaks, mid week offers….and the list goes on.
But, how do we know what to market and when? Answer? Google Trends.
Owned by Google (obviously) Google Trends is a public web facility based on Google Search, that shows how often a particular keyword or phrase is entered relative to the total search-volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages.
See examples below for Luxury Wedding Venues (which trend in January, August and again in January) and then the Edinburgh Tattoo…I’ll let you guess when this phrase trends…
The moral of this blog?
SEO (search engine optimisation) is not a one off task and requires an investment in time and resource, however, we can make life easier by targeting keywords and phrases at the time of year they are most in demand.
Target customers at the right time in the right place.
